Update: Women chose CS degrees 70% less than 1987

For the class graduating in 2014, 9.33 Women per 1000 degrees granted to Women got Computer Science degrees.  18% of those granted.  In 1987 27 Women per 1000 degrees granted to Women got Computer Science degrees.

A short while ago, I wrote a post lamenting the decline in Women choosing to get Computer Science degrees.  In fact, they choose to do so at a 70% lower rate than 1987.

Accurate Reality:  You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make her drink.  If Women choose not to get the training they need to participate in the computing world, they won't be able to play.  It will not be the fault of the industry.  They used to play.  Now they choose not to.  Computing is at the forefront of the majority of innovation driven enterprises created today.  It is at the forefront of wealth creation.
