35 million of us pay for the federal government for 315 Million Citizens

Tax data is due to be published for 2008. The first post recession data.

Just to remind us all.
35 million Taxpayers pay $965 Billion. That's 86% of all Federal income taxes raised. About 11% of the population. 1 tax filer in 4. That's the group with adjusted gross incomes greater than $161,000.

The other 75% of tax returns contribute about only about another $105 Billion.

This is Tax Foundation data from 2007.

Accurate Reality: We cannot sustain a government this big on the wealth creating efforts of so few.

I'll update this again when this great organization analyzes the 2008 data.
